Editorial Policy and Peer Review Process

Faslo El-Khitab Journal (e-ISSN: 2602-5922 | P-ISSN: 2335-1071) is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal published trimestrially by the Laboratory of Argumentative Discourse, IbnKhaldoun University of Tiaret, Algeria. The journal publishes original research in the fields of criticism, rhetoric, literature, foreign language studies, sociolinguistics, and linguistic sciences, in Arabic, English, and French.

  1. Peer Review Process (External Peer Review)
  2. The journal follows a double-blind external peer review system to ensure the quality and integrity of published research.
  3. Each submitted manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
  4. Reviewers are external to the editorial board and the publishing institution.
  5. The identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. In case of conflicting reports, a third reviewer may be appointed.
  6. Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise and are required to declare any conflicts of interest.
  7. The journal ensures that all review processes are conducted in a fair, objective, and timely manner.

 

  1. Review Procedure
  2. The editorial process follows these steps: Initial screening by the editorial board to verify scope and compliance with submission guidelines.
  3. Assignment of the manuscript to external reviewers.
  4. Evaluation is based on originality, methodology, academic contribution (qualitative and quantitative), and clarity.
  5. Communication of reviewers’ comments to the author for revision.
  6. Submission of the revised manuscript via the ASJP platform.
  7. Final decision of acceptance or rejection by the Editor-in-Chief.
  1. Editorial Decisions

Decisions are based on reviewers’ reports and may include:

  • Acceptance
  • Acceptance with minor or major revisions
  • Resubmission for further review
  • Rejection
  1. Publication Ethics

The journal adheres to recognized standards of publication ethics:

  1. All submissions must be original and not previously published or considered for publication in another journal.
  2. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
  3. Proper citation and referencing are required following the APA style 6th edition.
  4. Submitted manuscripts must not be under consideration by another journal.
  1. Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors are required to:

  1. Ensure the originality of the work.
  2. Provide accurate data and references.
  3. Clearly indicate their institutional affiliations (University and country).
  4. Follow the journal’s author guidelines.
  1. Open Access Policy

Faslo El-Khitab Journal is an open access journal, it provides free and unrestricted access to all published content.

The journal does not charge any article processing fees (APCs) or submission fees.

  1. Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts are subject to originality checks. Any submission found to containplagiarism, whether partial or complete, will be rejected immediately.
